Playtime

Playtime is a play group for parents and carers to attend with their children (aged 0-3). It emphasises the importance of play in a child’s development and accustoms children to structured daily routines.

SESSIONS

Playtime offers a gentle introduction to Steiner education and a welcoming Steiner playgroup experience for young children and their parents or carers. It provides an opportunity to connect with a supportive community while exploring a play based early childhood education environment. Each session is guided by a dedicated Steiner teacher and runs for two hours, including crafts, stories, songs, games, outdoor free play in our garden, and a shared morning tea.

Play supports the development of self esteem, social confidence, and a natural motivation for learning. Within Steiner early childhood education, play is valued as an essential foundation, allowing children the time and space to develop at their own pace and to fully engage with new skills.

2026 session times:

Wednesday 9.30 – 11.30 am

Location: The Armidale Waldorf School Library (storytime and morning tea) and the Playtime garden (outdoor play).
