Enrolling Now for 2019
The Armidale Waldorf School is based on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, whose philosophy emphasises the importance of educating the whole person, not just the mind. Our NESA approved curriculum balances academic achievements, artistic experiences and practical life skills, while emphasising a love of nature and the environment. Most children start school with an abundance of imagination, curiosity and the willingness to try new things. In order for us to prepare our children for the future, we must protect and nurture these qualities as they are the building blocks of life-long learning and the foundations on which our future leaders will build.
Our school is situated in a beautiful bushland setting just minutes from the Armidale CBD, and offers programs for children from birth to 14 years; allowing children to stay in a familiar environment longer, with community and peer support that permits time to mature socially emotionally and cognitively, giving students more confidence to embrace their continued life-long educational journey.
Our programs include Playgroup for 0-3 year-olds, Preschool for 3-5 year-olds, Kindergarten from age 5, all the way up to year 8. Music and art form a major part of our curriculum across all ages, with French being taught from Kindergarten onwards by a dedicated language teacher. Our smaller class sizes ensure individual attention and relevant learning through deep engagement and creative teaching.
